Bulk Request |
I am a platoon leader in a cavalry troop currently serving in Iraq.
I just showed your web site to my troop supply sergeant,
who is thoroughly impressed with this idea. We were both
wondering if it is possible to submit a bulk request to
supply my entire troop with your bore snake kits. There are approximately 70 of us.

Hi I am a sniper section leader and heard of your program through some of my
sniper contacts. I am in charge of two 4 man sniper teams with 2 M107s,
2 M24s, 4 M14s 8 M4s and 4 M9s. We have a few of your snakes
already but we have had them since OIF and they are warn out.
We are real interested in your .50 cal snakes. If you are in the helping mood we sure could use some more.
Thanks for your help in the fight.

Donated Bore Snakes |
I am a Drill Sgt in Iraq, assigned to a Military Transition Team...
My team is responsible for training an Iraqi Battalion. As a Drill Sgt I understand the importance of a clean weapon.
In the harsh enviroment of Iraq that is very important and the Bore Snake has saved time and time is limited sometimes.
I want to thank everyone who is involved in Project Bore Snake.
God Bless!!!

I am from Fresno, CA... currently serving in Iraq.
As a Cavalry Scout, you are outside the wire everyday pulling Ops... an observation post
to listen in on the enemies activities. Your are faced with a lot of obstacles along the way, whether
it's inside the wire or outside the wire.
Your are expected to to suck it up and drive on... I would like to take the time and
thank you guys for the cleaning kits you sent our platoon. It really means a lot to know
there's people out there that care about us. Thanks again for all of your support... SCOUTS OUT!

Sir, two months ago, a lieutenant in my unit contacted your
organization in order to inquire about obtaining several
bore snakes and oil before our deployment to Iraq. We have now
been here about six weeks and have found those items extremely useful.
The bore snake, cleanser, and oils make cleaning our equipment
much easier and faster, allowing us the opportunity to find a
few minutes down time before our next trip "outside the wire."
The generosity and concern displayed by yourself and other
members of Project Bore Snake is truly appreciated by every
member of my team, and I’m sure by every member of the
U.S. Armed Forces. Thanks again, and if I can ever be
of assistance in any small way, please do not hesitate to contact me.

I got an email from americansniper.org saying
you guys could hook our sniper
team up with some great cleaning supplies for our rifles. Currently we have
an M24 .308 SWS, M107 .50 Cal SWS. and a M4 Carbine. We are also getting an
M14 soon, so anything will help. I'd also like to thank you for all you do
for our troops.

Thanks for the cleaning kit |
Dear Projectboresnake.org,
Thanks so much for the cleaning kit. One of my Soldiers received several
kits and passed them out to others. The sands and elements are hell on
weapons and the bore snake and Hoppe's are excellent for getting my
weapons clear quickly. As you know the M16 and M4's have tight fits and
any dirt or grim makes the weapons difficult to fire. Being about to
quickly clean the action of the weapons with a kit that fits in my
pocket keeps my weapons ready.

I just wanted to send you an email, which I've been meaning to for
the past 2 weeks. Thanks for sending me the snake kits. I greatly
appreciate your support in this matter and I'm sure the unit appreciates
it as much I have. You are truly the best and I commend you on this
donation. Please keep in touch if you have the time...would love to
hear from you again. Hope all is well and we'll be in touch. God bless.

Thank you |
Hello my name is Corporal K.M.. I'm out in Fallujah right now
and I wanted to thank you for your package. Its already
being put to good use. Because I am in Iraq I have not
been able to make a donation, but I've already made
requests that my family do so in my stead.
I am also
writing to see if it would be possible to get another
package sent to this location. We are a group of about
forty marines and our op tempo has us constantly going
out on missions. If we had more to share it would be
greatly appreciated. If not, I understand there are so
many service members out here it isn't feasible to get
a boresnake in the hands of every service member.
Again
I just want to thank you for what you are doing. Knowing
that the people back home not only care about us but are
doing everything they can to help us is very uplifting.
Thank you.
(PBS response: "Your wish is our command!" as we immediately began
making arrangements to equip this soldier's unit with Snake Kits.)

(PBS response: You're VERY welcome, and thank you for the nomination. And remember - each Snake Kit serves both a soldier's rifle AND sidearm!)

Snake Kits |
I am an active serviceman currently deployed over in Iraq with my unit, the
[redacted for security reasons].
I was sent your website from a colonel that I know back home in New Jersey
that suggested to contact you guys. It would be a pleasure to receive a few
snake kits, since it's so hard to keep our weapons clean over here due to
all the sand storms and the sand in general... Once again, thanks
and it's an honor to serve for all of you.
